Steve Barth

Managing Director

Steve is a managing director of Foley Ventures and brings years of experience in mergers, acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, and buyouts to the team. Steve also has experience with venture capital and private equity fund formation; public and private offerings of equity and debt securities; public corporation securities laws and reporting compliance; and corporate governance. He is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP and the co-chair of the firm’s national Transactional & Securities Practice.

Steve serves on the board of directors of the Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation (quasi-public agency which provides funding to developing companies) and several privately held growth companies. He previously served on the board of Fresh Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ: FRSH) (audit committee and corporate governance committee chairman). Foley Ventures company InControl Medical LLC is one of Steve’s clients.

Steve is a frequent speaker on acquisition issues, financing transactions, SEC compliance, and corporate governance matters.

Susan Pravda

Managing Director

Susan is a managing director of Foley Ventures and brings 30 years of investment and legal experience to the Foley Ventures team. She is highly skilled in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, initial public offerings, and related securities transactions. She is the managing partner of the Boston office of Foley & Lardner LLP, a chair of the firm’s Technology Industry Team, and serves on the firm’s national management committee.

Foley Ventures has invested in several of Susan’s clients, including The Whistle, VanDyne SuperTurbo, Savingstar, Prides Crossing Capital, Four Rivers Partners III and Connotate. She sits on the boards of The Whistle, Kids II and Jay Packaging.

Susan's extensive knowledge as a negotiator of mergers and acquisitions is highlighted in the book, Swim with the Dolphins: How Women Can Succeed in Corporate America on Their Own Terms, by Connie Glaser and Barbara Steinberg Smalley. She is the co-editor of MCLE’s Buying and Selling a Privately Owned Business in Massachusetts and is a frequent M&A resource for Vistage International.

Steve Vazquez

Managing Director

Steve is a managing director for Foley Ventures and has practiced corporate law for more than 20 years, specializing in securities offerings and other securities matters, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital transactions. Additionally he has represented issuers and underwriters in 14 initial public offerings and follow-on offerings.

Steve is a member of the Foley & Lardner LLP Management Committee as well as the Transactional & Securities, Private Equity & Venture Capital, and Investment Funds & Investment Management Practices and the Technology and Manufacturing Industry Teams.

Paul Wrycha

Managing Director

Paul is a managing director of Foley Ventures. He has assisted in the organization, development, and financing of start-up, emerging growth, and development stage companies, in addition to practicing in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, and leveraged recapitalizations. Paul is also a member of the Foley & Lardner LLP Private Equity & Venture Capital and Transactional & Securities Practices and the Technology and Life Sciences Industry Teams.

Foley Ventures has invested in many of Paul’s clients, including Networked Insights, Inc., Shine Medical Technologies, StudyBlue, Inc., Hopster, and Brazen Careerist.
